Found a birdie this morning. Started as what looked like a RTTY “stuck diddle” in the FT8 waterfall on 10m. So I switched to fldigi to go RTTY eavesdropping to see what’s out there. Every 5 turns of the big knob, I’d find another one. So I did some further investigating.
Well, it’s insane. From the lowest freq to the highest freq I can receive with my Yaesu FTdx3000, it’s there at extremely regular intervals.
Would it not be considerate to be intentionally inclusive of people who are different from ourselves? Would it not be friendly to be welcoming and supportive of people who don’t happen to share our political or religious beliefs?
The idea is that by feeding it with Window Line, I could have the 6m dipole at 3m – a half-wavelength above ground. A 10m dipole taps at 5m above ground…

Y’all have seen the ARRL Band Chart. It’s ubiquitous. But it’s a woefully insufficient reference for RTTY contest weekends. Is there something better?
Crazy dream last night involving a notebook containing technical details for #HamRadio repeaters around the #TwinCities having been stolen in a burglary, and needing to go downtown to the office in the middle of the night to change a bunch of passwords. Even though it was the middle of the night, all my co-workers were there, including one of my bosses, Helen Yarmoska… except the part of Helen Yarmoska was played by actress Julie Bowen. And any of you who know Helen can see what a brilliant bit of casting that is.
