I don’t spend much time out in the yard. I don’t go for walks. I keep mostly to myself. It’s not that I’m UN-friendly, I’m just not extroverted. Talking to a stranger or neighbor (who I don’t already know) is almost never the high point of my day. That said, if someone else is curious about #HamRadio, I would enthusiastically answer their questions about the poles, wires, and paracord seen in my yard. Or if they’re curious about the #Mammotion #Luba2 robotic mower slowly scooting across the lawn, I’d enthusiastically help some other overworked fella realize that the amount of time & effort saved by not needing to mow every weekend is absolutely worth a couple grand, easily.
Since the mowbot sometimes gets stuck somewhere, and I have to go rescue it, I tend to keep my iPad or iPhone watching the FPV camera feed from the mower when it’s working. Yesterday evening, I saw that a young family was standing by the edge of my lawn, watching the mower. I was a mere 10′ from them, sitting in the shed. I was about to pause #Letterkenny, and get up out of the La-Z-Boy to go out and introduce myself, see if they had any questions. But then I saw that the mom was pointing the camera of her phone at my shed. They already had most of the answers they probably want.
